Making Pizzas with St. Vincent de Paul

On September 19, 2025, the Bayntree team spent an afternoon volunteering with St. Vincent de Paul at their Phoenix Dining Room. This was part of SVdP’s Friday Night Pizza tradition, a special gathering that brings volunteers, staff, and guests together over a fresh, homemade pizza.

About 20 people from Bayntree, including staff and clients, joined SVdP’s team in the kitchen. Together we made 200 pizzas from scratch. From rolling dough to spreading sauce and topping each pie, the process was both fun and meaningful. At the end of the event, we got to taste the pizzas we had worked hard to prepare.

Friday Night Pizza is more than just a meal. It helps create a sense of community and provides a dignified dining experience for individuals and families who are facing difficult times. For our team, the event was a chance to connect with one another while also supporting an organization that serves thousands of people each day through food, shelter, and essential resources.

We are grateful to St. Vincent de Paul for welcoming us to be a part of this experience. Volunteering alongside their dedicated staff reminded us of the power of showing up and working together for a greater purpose. We look forward to returning for another Friday Night Pizza and finding more ways to support their mission of service in the future.
